By installing or using The Toll, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

2. What The Toll Is

The Toll is a lifestyle reflection tool. It uses imagined family scenarios to encourage healthier daily habits. It is a behavioral motivation tool, not a medical device.

IMPORTANT — Not Medical Advice
The Toll's lifespan estimates, "damage score," and family scenarios are fictional projections derived from simplified statistical models. They are NOT medical predictions, NOT a diagnosis, and NOT a substitute for professional medical care. If you have health concerns, consult a licensed physician.

You may use The Toll for personal reflection. You may not:

The Toll displays imagined consequences (e.g. "That year, your son is in middle school"). These are emotional motivators, not predictions. The names of family members come entirely from your input — the app never assigns real-world identities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of The Toll. Direct damages, if any, are capped at the price you paid for the app.

7. Pricing & Payment

The Toll is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads. Apple App Store handles all payment processing — please refer to Apple's terms for refund policy.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Updated versions will be posted here. Continuing to use the app after a Terms update constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer resides (Australia / South Australia, except where local consumer law applies).
